September 22, 2022 – Commercial Investment Properties (CIP) was honored with four awards at the 27th Annual MADACS Awards presented by the Minnesota Multi Housing Association (MHA). The gala, held this year on September 16 in Minneapolis, recognizes significant achievements in the multi-family housing industry in a variety of categories. This is the fourth year in a row that CIP has been recognized.

Tommy Lupone, maintenance technician at Ascend at Woodbury (Woodbury, MN) won the award for Maintenance Individual: 175+ units. “We are so proud of Tommy for being awarded for his excellence in maintenance. He is a huge asset to our residents and team,” Chelsea Hopper, community business manager at Ascend at Woodbury shared. “This individual award is reflective of the dedication Tommy has for our residents and our community.”

The Rowan (Eagan, MN) received awards for Print Brochure and Website. The property brochure and website were designed by UpShift Creative Group in collaboration with CIP’s corporate marketing team and Jay Hanson, regional manager. The fresh design of each reflects the upscale, wellness-focused amenities The Rowan offers its residents. 

CIP won an award in the Community Support Program category for the fourth consecutive year. Each holiday season, CIP’s Minnesota teams partner with the non-profit organization Best Christmas Ever (BCE) to support a family who has fallen on hard times through no fault of their own. This year, the teams at Ascend at Woodbury (Woodbury), Aspire at CityPlace (Woodbury), The Central (Minneapolis), and The Preserve at Normandale Lake (Bloomington) coordinated fundraising efforts to collect over $24,000 in financial donations and countless gifts for the family who lost their father and husband after a battle with melanoma. “We’re extremely honored to be recognized again for our partnership with Best Christmas Ever. Each year, our teams look forward to coming together to help a family in need around the holidays. It’s even more special to be recognized for this as we are living out one of CIP’s core values, servanthood,” said Jay Hanson.

June 7, 2021 — CIP's Parade of Apartments will be held this weekend on June 12 and 13, 2021. Event hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

This two-day, open house event is designed to simplify the apartment hunting process and make it more enjoyable. Attendees can visit any of the 26 participating apartment communities (18 in Lincoln, 8 in Omaha) during the Parade of Apartments. Organized tours will be conducted every 20 minutes at select communities with no appointment necessary. Plus, each location will offer a special move-in discount for event attendees.

The Parade of Apartments event also will have multiple prize giveaways, including a cash prize of $500 per city. Attendees receive a prize entry for each property they visit. Plus, attendees can earn additional entries into the prize drawing by getting social on Facebook and Instagram, and also by pre-registering for the event online at the event website.

“Searching for the right apartment can be difficult and time-consuming with many hours searching online, touring several communities, and weighing all the options,” said Autumn Hunt, director of marketing and training at Commercial Investment Properties (CIP). “The Parade of Apartments is designed to alleviate that and make the process hassle-free and fun. After the disappointment of having to cancel the event last year, we are especially excited to celebrate the return of the Parade of Apartments.”

February 25, 2019 – Lincoln, NE – The fifth-annual Lincoln Parade of Apartments will be this weekend, March 2-3, 2019. Event hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 2 and noon to 4 p.m. March 3.

This event is designed to simplify the apartment hunting process and make it more enjoyable. In just two days, attendees can visit any of the 16 participating apartment communities for this two-day open house extravaganza. Organized tours will be conducted every 20 minutes at each property, allowing participants to easily see multiple communities in a short amount of time. Each location will also highlight neighborhood restaurants with free food, vendors and special move-in discounts. More than 500 people have attended each year.

More than $1,000 in prizes will be given away, including a $500 cash grand prize. Attendees receive a prize entry for each property they visit and extra entries when they pre-register online.
